So I have been fooling around a little with SEO since the beginning of me making websites. However I never got it nor understood it. I am looking to get any tips you can suggest to me or anything thing I might need to get before getting too into it. I am going to be dedicating most of my spare time in SEO so I can figure it all out, and hopefully someday become good at it. So please give me tips, and let me know if I need to get anything. At this time I have nothing, and know very little.
ForumKorner, The problem is your looking in the wrong place for information. The majority of the people on this forum are novice at best when it comes to search engine optimization, while others just want to build up post counts for their signature links. There are quite a few knowledgeable people left on DigitalPoint, but sadly they are drowned out by all the other noise. Off-page optimization, or back-link build is the key to properly ranking in organic search engine results. However, unless your on-page optimization is solid and up to date with the latest practices you may have an up hill battle. I'd evaluate your on-page seo and make sure it's to par with current industry practices.
