Why Mashable PageRank and Backlinks Becomes Zero

Hey frnds,

Suddenly today i have see the page rank of Mashable.com one of the best & so popular site for social media news and for tech gigs becomes PR 0 and one more shocking news it has 0 backlinks too. Though Google index the site regularly, last Google bot visit is on 18th of Feb.
Can someone pls share any news or information why this happens to Mashable or is their something serious Google update is coming..
Do share your thoughts and suggestions here.

 

Wow this is so horrible, Engine is doing poor these days, especially since this year.

 

You are joking right? Mashable has a PR 8 and have a ton of links. Did you stop to think the site/application giving these results might be wrong

Anything is possible of course, but for a site to go from a PR 8 to 0 you have to question where your source of information.

PS - I checked and it's still PR 8.

 

I am not here to crack joke...Mashable PR is still 0 here in Nashville, i have checked in my Google toolbar and also in other page rank tools. If you not agreed than search in Google for "Mashable Page Rank" and you will found tons of post discussing about the issue..Also you have to agreed about Mashable backlinks..why its drop to 0..??

 

Actually I don't agree most of their internal pages are still high PR 6 and above - All I see is people speculating, no proof of anything - If they were going to get penalized all pages would have, not just the root. Also the backlinks - Google hides almost all it's backlinks, so that is not a good indicator as well.

Remember page rank checkers are showing data from MONTHS AGO not anything from any recent google update.

In Australia the page rank is still showing as 8.

I would think it's just a glitch somewhere and will fix itself soon. I doubt a site with that must authority would drop to zero for any valid reason. Possibly because of error.

 

Are you from Nashville, Tennessee? Premium members can see your True country as well which is showing as India.

 

May be there is some trouble in your seo bar, otherwise site still has pr8.

Its has still pr 8 , check your tools man.

 

i also notice this. The page rank is 8 and i don't think google penalize them. You should check your Google toolbar. Or if you are using any other toolbar to check the page rank then please change them. Your ip maybe banned by google for ping query again and again.

 

it must be something wrong with your bar to check the PR.
You need to restall one and it will be alright.
it will be amazing from 8 to 0.

this site is have page rank 8 man not 0 and also have many back links as well .

 

May be OP should update his checking tools as well. Hey if you use SEOquake sometime it doesn't report right.

 

Mashable.com page rank is 8 but google link popularity is n/a

 

Mashable is pg rank 8 and links are at around 25k for me...maybe you are using faulty tools

 

No matter if Mashable page rank is not 0 but now its going to be sold out to CNN soon at $200 million+
