I try hard to not fake smiles. I give honest frowns sometimes. Lololol. Or sometimes I think I mix smiles and frowns together. Lolol.
Some posters will come on here and say they don't fake smiles but they are hypocrites. In work you must fake the occassional smile. If a client tells a bad joke and he tells it badly are you going to stand there stone faced? Not if you want to keep the account.I smile like a Cheshire cat because I need to keep the client happy. Also why hurt someones feelings? Even if you really are not in a good mood that day,a fake smile can make someone's day,so why not do it?
My grandma is almost the only one I do it with, because she has Alzheimer disease.. It's the only way I can keep her from crying when she's talking about things that have never happend, for example things that she might have dreamt about and thought was reality. Other than that I try to keep it as honest as possible and only smile when I really feel like smiling. =) But of course, there are moments when a fake smile can make the day go a lot smoother than just standing there with an unamused face after a friend or something tells a bad joke.
Ahah! Totally agree with you spoiltdiva. A smile really can make someone's day. Sometime we have to be hypocrites but it all depends on that person.
sometime we have to fake smile right for social. but after go home off course feel something. Do that for what?
