As you can see im a rookie, Please tell me anything good or bad about my site. This is my site www.techno-lovers.com (1 month old)
The site... overall looks good for a rookie. You just loaded the theme right? Or did you make any tweaks to an existing theme? Also, on the home page you have it as 'RECENT ARTICLE'.. should be 'RECENT ARTICLES'
Yea the content looks good, the construction is a bit template-y, its worthwhile to learn to modifidy .css and page layouts as well as logos/images
I've replaced it with recent articles. That's original theme no any tweaks. is there any other suggestions? or other widgets that you suggest? Thank you so much for your valuable time
it took one month to make 90 contents on my site. yup I like simple design too. is there any suggestion to improve the quality of my blog? Thanks for your time
Basing on your tagline, it seems to me that this is the kind of design you want your site to appear, "simple." But if you have a plan of making this site big in the future, perhaps you should consider using premium wordpress themes. You may not be able to appreciate it from now considering you have to buy one, but trust me, buying a premium wordpress theme is all worth it. Give this site a year and just be faithful to publish at least an article a day and you'll see what it can bring to you. For me, there is no "wow" factor for your site. I mean when I look at it, it's like any other tech blogs out there. So, I might ask myself while looking at your site, "What can I get from reading this site?"
I like the single post pages with the green header more than the large green area on the front page. The title font is a bit difficult to read and "recent articles" on the green background doesn't show very well.
wow, very helping comments, I really want to buy a premium theme, but still no money . but thank you very much for taking your time to comment.
I think you can do with a better theme, it looks a bit too simple for a technology site. Also go for light colours, all the top blogs have light backgrounds, the reason is pretty obvious as it's clearer and gives a simpler look.
Just like you, I didn't know a thing about websites when I registered here more than 3 years ago. Everything I know about websites, I got them from here especially SEO. Well, anyway, don't think it's a waste of time reading the previous threads here because they have helped me a lot. You know what, try looking for light-colored themes with gray shades perhaps because those kinds of themes look more professional and "credible." Just because you are running a tech site doesn't mean you have to portray a "hardcore" image to your readers. What you need is professionalism because people would always love reading articles published on professional-looking websites. Also, always go for themes which are easier to navigate... and have shorter load times. As I said earlier, there is no "WOW" factor by looking at your site. But it doesn't mean you just have to let it that way. Keep it up!
looks Ok and has relevant information. If you add rss feeds to your site it will automatically upload relevant information to your site.
