I have checked in my Google Analytics report, and found I lost a lot of traffic every day after Feb 8th... I don't know what happened... Did any one meet the same problem as mine?
No I haven't had that problem. What's your main traffic source? Check your keyword rankings. Are they same or is there any drop in the rankings? If the rankings are fluctuating, then there is nothing to worry but if the rankings dropped low then it can be due to Google dance or maybe your site is penalized.
Actually below the graph in your webmaster tools you'll see a list of keywords with their average position. Analyze the keyword rankings before Feb 8 and compare with this week. Apart from this, have you done any boost in your backlinks like building excessive backlinks/indexing etc? The rankings can also drop due to mass link building.
I didn't build links for months... The strange thing is, my 3 or 4 sites dropped at the same time... and I don't know why... The impressions dropped also... one of my sites main keyword dropped to 3 from the top 1... the other one dropped to 4 from the 1... Recently I have removed the google sitelinks demote, will this effect the search ranking? a few months ago I have demoted the register.html page on every site. But I removed the demote on Feb...
Can you check how much your rankings dropped? A few 100s or completely gone? There are a lot of factors due to which your rankings might have dropped, to know more about your site, The first thing I would like to ask you here - is your site new(less than a year old) ? The second thing is how much content does your site contain? I hope it is original content right? Are you updating it frequently or is it static? Finally how much do you monetize on your site? Do you use adsense or other contextual banners or sell ad space? How many ads have you placed in the top half of the site?
