I sold software and recived payment via paypal. I shipped the software BUT, apperatly I got the payment with a stolent account. I think I would qualify for paypal's seller protection but I'm not sure if the CD I shipped counts as part of physical goods... What do you guys think?
to be spesific... I sold website contents. But I shipped it with a cd. Will I still be eligible for seller's protection (considering I did everything else right)?
You are selling the CD as part of the product so yes. However, you need to provide proof of delivery.
Usually yes. In some places, you have to even charge tax on that since it was a physical good that you sold. Do you have proof of delivery?
Yes it is a physical product, but you need to provide proof of delivery and you need to make sure you shipped to a confirmed address
It will be counted as a Physical Good if you can provide a Proof Of Delivery . so is the payment on the hold / reversed ?
The payment is on hold. I can provide proof of delivery and I shipped it to the confirmed address. Do you guys know how long it takes to resolve these things?
If you can provide all of that, it should be pretty swift. Paypal will review it and let the buyer know. You might just send a nice email to him / her letting him / her know they signed for it and it could just be a simple mistake. This way, you are not faulting anyone and you provide them an out.
well the payment is on hold when a person A stold person B's account and make the payment and person B has reported this . And in the meanwhile you delivered the product but i am not sure if it will be wise for person B to pay for the product which person A has recvd . ah .... kinda confusing . Better to provide all the facts / proofs to Paypal Staff . Hopefully , you will get your share of money . Good Luck
Paypal says that the person with the stolen account needs to provide proof that it was stolen, and that paypal will investigate wither the account was really stolen or not... anyone knows what kind of proof the person with the stolen account needs to provide? What has to be done on his side?
If the account was stolen, chances are you are out of luck unfortunately. Paypal will probably look at the IP addresses and the account holder will probably sign an affadivit stating the account was stolen. It might come down to even who signed for the package - you might be able to win that way if the owner signed for the package.
u can say that u will upload cd on some server and give download access if u give cd directly then it is physical.
