Selling Celebrity Site - 351,659 Visits & 1,310,419 Page Views in last 30 days - Busy & Viral

Hey Guys,

I am selling my baby, I have put a lot of time and effort into this site and I hope it shows, it's in the celebrity niche, a little raunchy, and has a good consistent flow of traffic, has a Facebook page and Twitter account associated with it - but I don't use them - you can have all my FB pages with over 12k Fans as a bonus. There's been some very good days of traffic as some of the posts went viral - some fake celeb' pic's caused a little controversy and even have their own search terms based on them LoL.

Traffic:

It's been good and on a bad day I still received 7500 visits and over 30000 page views, on a good day it gets over 12000 visits and 50000 page views, the best day of late had 20000+ visits and about 60000 page views - that was with the accidental viral fake pic's. All natural and the majority is from search engines (Google), about a quarter of traffic is from mobiles. Alexa is about 150k and very strong in the UK, USA and Canada.

Content:

It's all unique, lots of photos and videos, a lot of articles, about 1100 posts and 100 on the adult section. Heaps of "likes" and Tweets, and Facebook comments, it gets a little bit of traffic from Facebook as a result - again most of that happens naturally.

Other Data:

Page Rank 3 with pages within with PR - never really cared about that side of things.

Earnings:

It's not heavily monetized, it only has two sets of ad's on it from Adengage, I only wanted to cover server costs, it has earned $115 this month in 13 days, last month it made about $212 from adengage, and a few bucks here and there . It gets over 500 Clicks on ad's daily - just low paying cos they're Adengage. So about 10% of visitors tend to click an ad - if you're on to publishing ad's and monetizing sites then I am sure you could make a lot more.

Site would need to edited to be safe for adsense - to much tits and ass for adsense...

 

That's a shame, cause then you would lose your audience. Have you tried any personals CPA or affiliate links? I would kick some ass to have that traffic, unfortunately I can't make a decent offer to you.

 

Nah, my intention wasn't to earn with ad's or leads. just getting the site going, traffic up, etc. Then I was going to monetize the site properly... but I am about to study and need the cash for my courses and to pay loans etc. I don't view sites as a way just to make cash - I like the thrill of getting traffic and building sites...

 

Now here's a post that's TRUE and worth the read! Thanks for posting this with all the needed information on it - or at least most. Not like many other posts on here that just shows traffic for the past 7 days as growing and when you get the SS for demographics and sources, BOOM! lolz... not to think analytics isn't from Google.

Yeah - if it was though, you'd have to blurr out the ass, boobs, etc, perezhilton and some other sites do that - and have a sub domain for their adult images... it would take a bit of shuffling to do so and editing...

I have only had the site since November (although it has been up and running for a while before that) and I was using histats to measure traffic and as you can see from pics above - I installed analytics soon after, if you want I can share the keywords - as soon as there's a nip slip or oops - or leaked image we dominate - because we're already in the top 10 for a lot of search terms:

I originally purchased the site in November for $500 and it started with 1k visitors per day, I liked the domain name and thought it had potential, in the past 3-4 months as you can see I took that traffic and multiplied it by 6 and most times more...

If you see the big wave of traffic... that's because I was on to the Big Brother phenomenon in the UK and had the Playboy twins etc. The 17k day - that was a viral campaign (by accident) a bunch of Asians seen my fake Emma Watson lesbian pictures and took them as real - and to this they spread like wildfire on forums or where ever those Asians spread viral shit.

When I get home today - I will add more posts - because traffic is down today and it needs to regular posts to please Google and regular visitors.

 

Where are you getting your content from? Is it scraped or all manually compiled? And is there any sort of system you have in place for content creation for the new owner?

 

All manual, I don't scrape as it's to risky these days, I can show you how I find the keywords and ideas for content... or do you want it automated?

it means their are "unsuitable" content per adsense TOS. as mentioned earlier, the site has content that's near porn or is considered porn depending on your standards and that of Google's.

 

Yup... you could always create a sub domain like news.eyesonstars(dot)com and have adsense there if you follow correct procedures and link to it in posts and the theme - like some sites do.

And for the record there's a lot of traffic that Analytics does not count as seen with Webmaster tools conflicting results:
Note: Webmaster tools shows 300,000 clicks within the past 30 days - I think a majority are image based and don't trigger Analytics impressions.

Queries: 10,347 (number of searches in Google that led to a click) Clicks: 300,000 (overall visitors sent from Google) Impressions: 9,000,000 (number of times the site was seen within Google)

 

If you have minus feedback - don't waste my time... last few bids have been by a dude who was banned and a dude with minus feedback... if I don't get a decent buyer - I will hold on to this - I am not fazed in selling it...
