I recently bought a server, a friend of mine is gonna transfer his website to mine.

When I go in to the C-panel I'm a bit confused with stuff there lol
Can anyone recommend a site where I could learn this stuff and what files to upload to make the website etc

I would really appreciate it :p

    Thankoooooss :)

You're already at a good site.
Please, clear up the terms 'Cpanel' and 'Server' (in this context).
You "bought a server", do you know what WHM panel is? Are you working with Cpanel X, or a 'non-standard' system??

I can help with some things. Do you have a server admin, or just do-it-yourself?
Are you hosting from home, or co-located??

Basically I bought the server from Future Host and am using Cpanel X. No idea what a WHM panel is lol
And you have to do it your self.

    Thanks a lot gemini181 :p

Best way to learn is by trial and error. Then when you can't figure it out on your own, come back to this forum, let us know what you did that didn't work and what the result was. There are so many people on this forum who are willing to lend their expertise as long as they see someone is putting for the effort and not expecting to be spoonfed. I'm sure there is a cpanel forum out there somewhere. In this age of the internet, there's a forum for just about every existing topic on the planet and beyond! Welcome to DP.

Well take it one step at a time, and there is nothing you can't learn in a couple of hours. Do you know how to use FTP? If no, 'google' Filezilla, download it, and "report back" for more help.

Either me or someone else will be glad to help. :p

I normally don't recommend e-books (since there are so many out there) but this particular one has the information a newbie would need. Check out this thread and PM him to see if he's still selling his ebook for $10. It's worth the money.
