I had rankings about 26 place for my keywords in google.com. Today I am on 27 page in goolge. What I need to do to back rankings?
How old is the website? Did you do any odd backlinking methods lately? Generally what I have found is that Google has even increased the effectiveness of the "honeymoon period" for a lot of new websites. So you might rank really well for a week. But then a week later you'll get dropped because the honeymoon period is over. You have to continue sending backlinks to it to get it pushed back up.
@PHPGator My rankings drop but site is not banned. I check site:"mysite.com", link:"mysite.com", for my part of content I am first and unique. What to do? Domain is 3 years old. I am working on profile and article submission links. Thx
Persistance is key in the search engine game. There could be a variety of reasons that your rankings have dropped. Are you building backlinks to your website too fast? Are you not building them fast enough? Perhaps Google is readjusting its rankings and you will pop back up into your previous rankings in a few days? This happens to me sometimes too, but it usually resolves itself in a week or two, then I am right back to where I was before. Also, check the websites that are linking you. Are you being linked from an ad-farm or other "bad neighborhood" website? If a website that is linking you is considered spammy by google, that will cause your rankings to drop as well. Check your content to make sure it isn't duplicate (either by you, or someone copying your content for their own websites. Yes, the latter happens unfortunately), and make sure that your outbound links total no more than 25 per page. That's also a good rule to follow when building incoming links as well. You don't want to look like spam or an ad-farm, and you don't want these types of sites linking you either. I hope the issue resolves itself for you
"This happens to me sometimes too, but it usually resolves itself in a week or two" so, you have same problem?
Its not that significant, I don't think you got penalize... if you got penalize your site won't show at all in Google.
hi just keep building the links and and nothing much, ranking fluctuate, so don't panic and don't rush to the thing.
the fact that your website comes up in site: search doesn't mean you haven't been slapped. Penalties come in all sizes and colors, you know. Wait a while, mebby it's just a dance. If after a week you're still not back up, or worse - even lower do the following: 1. find a remove all cheeky links you've recently required 2. make sure no one scraped you and used your content for spamming (happened to me) 3. file a reconsideration request (won't do shit but worth a shot) 4. build more better quality (read more expensive) links if nothing helps move to a different domain and 301 the old one to it
