Windows 7 since recently, and I hate it. Before that I hated Vista. Before that I LOVED XP.

The most used desktop OS is XP. Vista and Win7 are in the minority as shown in many surveys. We only have one Windows box (the other 10 run FreeBSD) and it runs XP. We only use that box for QuickBooks.

I use Win7 on my personal machines, but at the company I work at we have some older WinXP clients. These are getting gradually phased out by implementations of the Win7 platform, though.

I had been using XP for many years, and have just made the switch to 7, which I find is a bit nicer to use. The best thing about XP is the compatibility with gaming, which Vista and 7 seem to lack somewhat.

The question is: "Are you still using Windows XP?" not "What are you using now?".

I was going to say that I'd bet the very next guy says something about running XP...NOT! I should have because, true to the users of DP, they are incapable of following a straight line.

I get angry when I have to help someone that's still using XP. I don't understand how someone can use an operating system that is 11 years old, it boggles my mind.

Because XP does what we need it to do. It runs every piece of software you are likely to need. That is why it is the most used desktop OS over Vista and Win7. Those two don't do anything to improve the software being run.

I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 and I find it great. I think it's time to have may Windows XP retire.

Can't part with WindowsXP. I still run on my laptop. I'm trying out Windows 7 on the desktop and beginning to love some but hate many useless features. Win 7 also needs a faster system to run smoothly.
