Bull shit. traffic, bounce rate, etc. have nothing to do with PR. The only measure it depend on is weight that it gets from the pages linking to it and autority of domains hosting that pages. If you insist tell me why the page without traffic gets PR4 and home page with 5000 visits gets less PR? Also tell me why dropped domain without any traffic and bounce rate keeps PR and lossing it on next update after backlinks was removed. Do your homework.
i agree with above - Google webmaster tools and Google analytics both say the measure of rank is no reference to back linking - but to Google's preferred ranking chart - articles, blogs, and links pointing to domain age is about PR so traffic bearing is not a reference to the sites traffic ------- it is a little GREEN Bar thats it... and no more........... only webmasters buy the green bar lie.......
It is hard to understand what you trying to say, but if you would do some link building you would see the direct relation between backlinks and PR growth, and ones again there is no changes in PR based on traffic or bounce rate. Please provide propf of where Google talks to you and say those things that you mention above. I know from my experience that you wrong. And PR is not just a green bar as you say, it stands for page rank, and Google invented it to see the rank of the page, I agree that some webmasters can give more credit to PR then it does really mean, but is is not just green bar, it is indication of what Google thinks of yor site. Moreover traffic is not most important thing too, the sales is. But this topic is about PR and I asking some one who can give me a rough idea on my question about situation with my PR not the traffic or bounce rate, I know how to deal with does.
All web pages on the internet have some page rank - If they link to another page they pass on some page rank to that other page. Links from authority pages linking to a page pass on more page rank (sometimes a lot more). Thats the basics behind page rank - So if a particular page has more page rank than another page it must be linked to by authoritive pages that have good page rank themselves. In the case of a page having page rank 4 and it was 0 (if I am reading you correctly) that would likely be because you are someone linking to that page from a number of other pages that collectively pass on a lot of page rank. Or that just 1 or a few links maybe are linking to that page. Take a look at all your PR 3 pages and see where they link to. Remember a website does not get page rank, only PAGES. So it's not correct to say your site has a page rank of 3, rather in your example your main root page is now PR 3. Cheers Tim

Hi Tim thank you for you relevant and full reply. Even if only page can have PR, I have no idea why it got PR4 without any backlinks, I have checked, no backlinks exept the one from my home page. Other inner pages doesnt link to it, so my concern is why does it get PR 4 without any BL?
What tools are you using to check page rank? I would use a number of different tools to check if they all show the same page rank. Remember also that the toolbars show what WAS the state of your page rank up to a few months ago, they do not show the current page rank - They are always out of date. I have seen weird things happen where a page gets a weird page rank and then in the next round is updated and fixed. Internal links would definitely help improve the page rank - Any link will pass on page rank (even a nofollow link now passes at least some pagerank). Most backlink tools do not show all links - Google hide a huge percentage of backlinks and yahoo site explorer is not accurate. Try registering for free with majestic seo and check your own site and see if there are any backlinks you are unaware of showing. These guys seem to be one of the best places to show backlinks because they have their own bots going out looking for backlinks all the time instead of relying on google or yahoo etc to show them. PageRank does not depend merely upon backlinks . On page SEO of website must be upto mark for getting good page rank.
Hi Tim. I use variouse tools for SEO analize. Mostly for backlinks I use domain-pop, linkdiagnosis, link-checker.org, opensiteexplorer.org, backlinks.in, pagerank.my-addr.com and RDS tool bar which is the best. I cant see old PR because the aticle had 0 and just few days ago on new google update it got 4. I tryed suggested majesticseo tool and the results that it showed is not reliable, I checked all the pages in the result and they doest have any links to me, so i say this is junk. For home page it showed me similar results what I see on with free tools, so I wouldn't trust majestic a lot, there is better and free tools. I also took a look at webmaster tool for paricular page and there is no results at all for it. I think the only reason this page is getting so mush PR is because I don't have OBL, and all the weight I have is circulating inside, and home page didn't get same PR because it have some irelivant sites linking to it and maybe have flash on it and maybe was agressivly promoted. What is your guess?
