    Hi there,

Just a curious question, Does G start killing SEO. Until now G is on Upgrade.. lots of changes appredictable and sometimes, a weird results.

Lately some Seo's said that they encounter some weird thing like from no.1 to no.40 and sometimes it is totally gone.... and so on...

Dont have a choice but to wait and continue the seo things. Some sites are affected and some are not... How can you tell for example to your client that theres an ongoing updates by G, and that updates coz your statistic turns low, Keywords affected, Serps changes and .......... Theres no timeline when the updates going to be finish or done, Only G knows...

haay! just a curious reaction about what happening thats G involved, no harmfull intensions about my thread. Thanks

    Any comments are welcome....

If you promise too much then your clients may get upset. Try to explain SEO to them and help them and they will be happier in the long term.

Tell me about it.One of my sites is fully indexed 143 pages.Sometimes it is top5 for keywords (where it always used to be) then it dissapears and comes back again a few days later.
The wierd thing is that when it comes back to top 5 sometimes 0 pages are supplemental and sometimes my supplemental pages are as high as 125.

    It's ridiculous.My head is in a spin these days.

Google should really invest time in adjusting it's algorithm to ignore links that are often used to generate fake page importance .
Removing signature links from PR/Serp calculations will only benefit Google's users .
But the one thing that annoys me the most, is google's love toward blogs . I personally don't read blogs. I don't even know anyone that reads blogs.
BUT. Whenever I search for something, I have to try and avoid blog posts about the subject (looking at the urls) in order to get to what I am looking for .
So it's good to hear that google is trying to change stuff .

I'm seeing a similar thing. I used to rank in the top 6 for common KWs. Now I'm #31. Fantastic.

I guess that you can't really do anything about the day to day changes, I measure results every week or 2.

I really cannot understand G very much. When the hype was going onfor SEO nothing was working right way. And now when the things are not working for others they are working for me :)

    Its all confusing.

Haven't been here for a whilesince I have been trying to figure out WTH is going on with Google lateley, but like most of you, I have failed. There is no way you can figure out what they are doing, why they are doing it and how they can come up with such shitty results.
Someone mentioned blogs and they are totally right about Google loving blogs, and I see more blog-spam sites than ever before. What looks like a blog is nothing but scraped content and placed in many cases in sub directories/sub domains. In my opinion Google is all fucked up and they don't know where to start to fix it. I have tried to go all white hat and do anything that could be right but nothing helps, and if anything has changed then it is to the worst.
Not only has the search result changed to show spam sites but AdSense has dropped to record low. The eCPM is is a disaster and if there was any other ads you could show I'd change in a heart beat.
Google sucks big time and I somehow wish that visitors to Google would realize it too. At work some people have and use live.com instead since they don't find what they are looking for in Google anymore. You have to go to page 10+ to find what you are looking for and try to bypass all spam sites and crap. It seems that Google are trying to make sense of the content of the pages but they should just give it up. I don't think a lot of people are looking for content rich pages. What people are looking for is information and something to buy, watch or interact with. I don't think they want to read page after page of Googles idea about content rich web sites.
There's got to be something wrong with all the fluctuations that is going on with Google. I understand that new sites comes up every day and that there will be fluctuations in placement but if you are being replaced by spam sites and your pages for some odd reason go supplemental then Google should scrap their algo and start all over.

Average everyday consumers are noticing the junk returns they are getting from Google now. A friend of mine who is no web guru, he doesnt even know what PR or seo is. Yesterday he was telling me about how he was looking for some information on Google and Google Search was returning sites that had nothing to do with his search. He also proclaimed to have tried Live.com and loved it and found the info he was seeking.

Point of this story is that everyday people are realizing that Google is serving up bad results. Those who have manipulated Google for their own gain are the ones who will push the everyday consumer to another search engine. In a sense I guess this is a check and balance system in place for the search engines. If you allow your algo to be manipulated and do nothing about it, over time those consumers you were looking to protect are the ones who will seek their information elsewhere.
