Hi. If anyone can explain or just guess why the site gets PR3 (from 2) on Google update, but some of the pages (about 10% of pages) gets (PR4 from 0) and I didn't even promote those pages, and some of them was posted just a week ago and does't have any backlinks? Any idea? Would'n be a normal to get PR4 on the home page which gets all the backlinks and in addition get PR4 on others, but not opposite like in my situation?
PR4 from 0. Can you back it with proof i.e. if you provide the URL we all can analyse the same. No one can give just a blunt guess without reviewing the site
Yep url will help to have a look ! Btw my forum moves to pr2 in 30 days and we got many unique traffic to , but i have more backlinks.

PR is given to individual page and you might get natural links from the public I believed that you getting more inner page natural backlink due to the content, not your homepage, then you can find out that your inner page have better PR than your homepage.
lifeplayer, I wish it would be true, but I have checked and those pages doesn't have back links at all, 0. So my only guess was that they getting weight from innerpages, but no, no backlinks at all only one from my home page. Now I only can think of that home page have enough weight to share it with inner page to get PR4, but doesn't get relevant PR itself because of agressive link building, or have some irrelevant sites linking to it and this cause of lowering autority of home page!? Any other reason can be?
Cant really tell the reason without checking on the website, it will be better if you can tell your website URL

Well, i have random check on one of the sub-domain, it has 64 backlinks, not zero By the way, do you using google webmaster tools?
Google webmaster tools actually already list out the number of backlink for individual page including the inner page. By the way, I'm using subdomain backlink checker, it is a paid tool, I only allow one search per day because I not pay for it
Can you tell me exact name of the tool? Because I checked in webmaster tool and it does'n appear there at all in backlinked pages category. Thanks
well my friend pr hmmmm pr ----- if youre a pr monger in search of ranking for what? its no brainers," pr is dead, and everyone here on dp will tell you that pr is just a rating," not a traffic indicator.....
Sharp.Web, do you see anywere in my post that I asking about traffic or ranking? I know enough about how to get both of it, now I interested why and how my pages without backlinks getting PR higher then the home page with bunch of backlinks.
Thats Easy --- to answer - Google pr is just a green bar - that ranks pages and domains - pages might be more content rich than the main URI - does that HELP!!! ........... be happy to get some traffic tips from Yah!!! lols
It doesn't realy help! Tell me why it gets PR4 without any backlinks. I can consider "content rich" to be a reason, but other pages have same quality of content but gets just pr2. "Some traffic" can also be a "green bar" if it is not targeted traffic. And also PR can make big difference: more green in your bar= more green in your pocket!
Page rank isn't measured by the number of backlinks, but by the page's quality in terms of traffic, bounce rate, etc.
