Can anyone tell me how to put ads on a YouTube video?
    You can post links/articles.

    Thanks!

You need to be eligible for YouTube Partnership in order to earn revenue from adsense ads.
In order for you to get YouTube Partnership, you need to have videos with lots of views.

I don't think there is an exact number of views, but as long as you have a couple of videos with around 50k views, more or less..then you should be eligible for Partnership. It may vary depending on the niche of your video..

If you have 1 video with a lot of views they will contact you and offer revenue sharing.

If you have an entire channel with consistently high views then you can apply for partnership: http://www.youtube.com/partners

In both cases you must own all the content in the video.

actually it depends on the popularity of your videos. if you have just a few videos and get higher clicks every day.then you can contact the partner. i think just after getting 100 views you can get accepted.

This is very far from the truth, all you need is a decent amount of views and non copyright content on your channel/videos.
I've helped countless of clients become YouTube partners, and trust me their videos were pretty crappy!

If you have good number of views, also have adsense account then just go ahead.

You don't need that many views just original content and google will send you an email. Know people who only had 3k views total and got adsense.

I have it too and don't really have that many views, just all original videos.

There is a feeling that you got to have 30k viewers to get YouTube partnership. This is wrong notion. Two YouTube channels, one for me and other that of my client have been approved for partnership. What did I do? I did nothing except upload some useful tutorials. My video was views at the time I got an invite was just some 70 viewers! Same was also for my client. Tip:- Create useful things and then expect Google do its part. I never applied for its partnership, but they invited me to be one.

Are some of you confusing the Individual Video Revenue Sharing invitation with actually being a YouTube Partner. You can be asked by YouTube to share in revenue on individual videos and NOT be a partner. Once you are able to monetize one video, they seem to approve the rest of your videos with the caveat of original content. I am still working on becoming an actual Partner.

Yes. You are right about individual video revenue sharing and YT partnership. We were invited to have the YT partnership. Tip is: Create more videos and upload on your channel to get the YT Partnership.
One sample whom we help get the YT is given

hey accendo,,, have you got an invite?

It looks like your channel is not setup any different than mine and I am not a YT partner. I have just been offered individual video adsense revenue

Again, you are proving my point. You are not a Partner. You are a part of youtube's Individual Video Partnership Program. That is different from being a full fledged YouTube Partner. There are two types of partnerships offered by YouTube: Channel Partnership Program and Individual Video Partnership.

The email offer says YouTube Partner not individual video partnership. Google is indeed sometimes confusing :) Nice vid.

    Hi

I think before you get ads in youtube you need to have " youtube account " or " youtube channel " & you need to upload videos & one of my friends said the youtube apply the ads for USA only !!! I don't know if this is correct ...
