I need a new logo/header for my poker website PokerTrikz.com. The current website is being taken down and I will be relaunching with this new minimalist theme on test.pokertrikz.com. I repeat, do not use the colors from PokerTrikz.com, but instead use the color scheme from test.pokertrikz.com which is white, black, grays, and 2 blues. You may use any images for re-purposing on the PokerTrikz.com website though. My main inspiration for the header is the simple one at PokerStrategy.com. Here is a link to there actual header. http://static.pokerstrategycdn.com/front/images/logo/logo_pscom_en.png. I like the set up with a small logo to the left and the words PokerTrikz.com to the right. My tag line is Free Poker Training, but I'm not sure if I want it included or not. I would like the logo to be something related to poker, but preferably not a poker chip; It is a bit overdone on poker sites these days. I like this concept here with the corners of the cards. https://99designs.com/logo-design/store/18668 If you could do something like that, but just have TWO cards instead of three. You can make the cards simple or more complicated; it's up to you. The header should be 500-550 x 60 and made for a white background. If you have any questions or comments please let me know. @JonathanP - You spelled the site's name wrong. I also don't like those cards as my logo. I really like the artsy style to the corner of the cards in the design linked in OP. While I don't want an overly complicated design; those two aces are entirely forgettable. Thanks for your submission. Crap. I just lost the response I typed up. Here it goes again. I've replied to everyone that PMed me so far. This one is definatley winning so far. I like the "sketched" design on the cards. If you don't mind; I would like to see a few small edits possibly. Can you change the red to a blue. I use these 2 blue hex colors on the website, but feel free to just match them and not use their exact color. 6699CC and 003366. There is something known a 4-color deck that makes diamonds blue instead of red. Maybe you could use that for the inspiration. If you do make the diamonds blue, please change the club to a spade. In 4-color decks; clubs are green and not black. Can you also shorten the top of the "red" card just a little bit. I feel like it is slightly too long and should probably stop at the "er" in Poker and not the "ri" in Trikz Could you also add a small Free Poker Training (possibly in all small caps) underneath the PokerTrikz.com Don't make it too long, just about 1/2 - 2/3 the length of PokerTrikz.com. I'm not sure what type of font will look good though. I like the font you are using, but I am not 100% sold on it. If you have any other favorite fonts; I would like to see them. I know you like to keep your designs private, but adding to thread allows me to respond easier and allows everyone to learn from my reviews; so I don't have to keep typing similar things. It is unlikely someone will steal your exact design and make it better for me to choose. Everyone has their own style and that has a lot more to do with it than simple layout and font recommendations. EDIT: @Vimag - Just saw your latest design. I like the Free Poker Training addition, but I don't like the card on the bottom right. I'm also not sure about the red colors still; I'm kind of worried they will clash with the blues on the website. I like your ideas though. You are definitely going in the right direction.
Thanks again to everyone for their submissions. I have decided to also offer a 2nd place prize of $15 because I like so many. This means at least two people will be getting paid for their work and I will have a nice back-up logo for banners or a header later on. @Vimag - Those new cards look great. I like the colors and the suits on the cards. I have a few small edits that I would like to see. If you make these edits, you will win 1st or 2nd place. That means you will at least get paid $15 if you work with me to finish the design. I would like you to use the new black/blue cards together with the font and tagline style from this image. Can you actually make the top of the blue card, just a little bit longer. You have the right idea; you just went a little bit to View attachment 73691 Can you move the tagline to the left and change it to blue. (I'm not sure if it will look better with the light blue from the site or the same as the blue on the cards) I'm slightly worried that the header is too tall. Try to condense the height. The red card's top line actually sits lower on the PokerTrikz.com word, which is good because it makes it shorter. Maybe you can use the red card design and convert it to blue (and make the top line a bit shorter). Thanks again. I'm really happy with your work.
