Does anyone have a computer & technology site with adsense on it that they can share how it's doing? Do these sites typically do or pay well with adsense?
my site actually doesn't exactly a computer/IT site, but i got some on it. average cpc around 10 cent (vary everyday though) but i got like $1 per click once in a month, and i don't have any clue which ads/page (not site) was that click came from
Hi there http://www.nanotechnology-info.com/ Seems to have clicks over $1.00 each....It's newly published so I still have to determine if it will stay at that rate or drop....
really? $1 per click is very nice. i got this kind of cpc for my forex site like i year ago. but now everything go as low as 10 cent since smartpricing hit me
Yes I understand the smart pricing leaves a sting...my thoughts in doing this site were a few. 1. Not stepping on anyones brand name with the URL I chose, so I should never face a legal challenge with it's usage. 2. No competition for the most part as the science is so new. 3. First to market usually wins. 4. Something my kids will be able to have, and make some money from one day. 5. There would be a lot of high paying advertisers for many years to come due to what can be done with nanotech. 6. Advertisers would be from a diverse field of medical, science, engineering, automotive, aerospace, aircraft, educational, marketers and others, offering a more stable source of revenues and hopefully not falling into smart pricin any time soon. The clicks I got were close to $1.50 each, which compared to my .05 myspace clicks... made me smile the other day. Hope this helps, Peace
With tech sites, the clicks are likely to be lower than some other type of sites but the cost per click should be pretty good.
Agreed...and I venture to guess you're not speaking to me directly, but for my situation its just one site so Ive no need to be greedy about things.
I've got a site on programming and it gets a lot of traffic. Not a good CTR though because these people are techies so don't like ads. But the sheer weight of traffic means that you can get some money from it, and these are the sort of people who will add your pages to delicious, stumbleupon, digg etc if they like what you wrote. It's pretty linear too, i.e. double the number of pages and you double your income.
Good stuff to know..... And I am .glad I am targeting the people who have no idea what nano is but want to learn
It really depends on your niche within the technology sector, different keywords yield different results. You must be very specific.
Ads on tech sites can be good, well payed, and dont have to be good. You must block all spammy and low paying ads.
I have a tech site, pcfastlane.com. The ads pay well per click but I get poor CTRs. If you plan on targeting geeks, expect a low CTR. Geeks don't click ads.
If you have tech site for non-tech people it should do well...but geek people in general do not click on Ads. I am not that technical person but I don’t remember ever clicking on any ad.
i think there is two kind tech sites. one of them for education and academic people.the other ones to use new tech's...i think second one is more attractive for traffic.
tech sites generate high RPC. The only problem is that people who visit them do not like to click on ads.
