I'm trying to increase the click through rate (CTR) on a site so I want to include a slideshow for posts that feature multiple images. Does anyone know of a Wordpress slideshow that will count each slideshow click as a page view? I'm looking for something that is SEO friendly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
As long as each image links somewhere, your stats program should count it as a page view. If you want to increase page views, Use this: http://www.linkwithin.com/learn Of course your site still has to be well designed. Content has to be good. And your pages need to load quickly, or nothing you do will increase CTR. If you care to share a link, I'm sure I can give all kinds of ways to increase your page views.
I'm aware the site needs to be well designed, have good content, etc. I'm wondering if anyone knows any good slideshows that they can recommend.
Do you need to use it more than once? Is this something that you want to duplicate on multiple pages? Because you can make nice galleries with Next Gen Gallery http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/ If you just need an adjustable gallery that you use once. This one is easy to use: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/s3slider-plugin/ Or you could add a lightbox plug in to use the existing gallery functions of WordPress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lightbox-plus/ Bottom line, there are probably 100 gallery plug ins out there. How you set them up when it comes to registering page views is up to whether or not you set them up to link each image to a URL. If it clicks (is a live link) , it counts on a stats program.
