I have just finish a project with hope will be helpfull to all the people. Is a free to use small url generator and url redirection, something like TinyUrl. The website is design as simple as possible and offcourse w3c validated.

    The website is named starturl.com.

    Some features:
    - last 5 urls added
    - top 5 url used (if the url is marked as public)
    - option to mark and to delete an url if the terms of use are not followed

    I am working at:

    - internet explorer addon
    - firefox extension

    Any feedback is welcomed.

Extremely nice. Excellent choice of colors. Certainely very professional.

The service is useful as the well. Best of luck with the nicely formatted Google ads. :)

Thank you for the replies. Yes the urls are stored in database. I also loved the colors. I hope as soon the extensions for ie and firefox will be ready the website will become more popular.

You need more vigourous checking on the input. i.e. I entered some ascii symbols (like a +) and it let me create it. Then when trying the URL it goes to a page that says the URL is in violation of the spam policy.

So that's two problems there. Input checking, and a 404 page that accuses your user of terms violations! :)

Thank you for the reply. The website is suing the same font. Do yo have a display problem with part of the website? Can you send me a screenshot or point me to exact place where the text is not shown correct?

    Is made inhouse.

Yes the input is not allowed. I will add checking on the "own alias" option.

It worked. However, it assigned /eegsl and I could not figure out how to get /homestead . Perhaps a little more instruction, and a couple samples for the uninitiated? I'd love to give it another try. Please pm me. Thanks.
