I just came across a website (not mine).. and was impressed by perfect blending. URL: http://boeken.tweedehands.net/ However, I was wondering if it is legal to do so or not, coz I heard that you can only use Spondors or Advertisement heading for your ads but this webpage has "Boeken" which I think means "Books" in Dutch. What are your opinions?
No it does not matter but the ads very neatly blended with the content ,This website should be an example to adsense newbies
So, you guys mean it is ok to use headings other than Sponsors & Advertisements. That was my main point..
that is ok , ive never tried with headings , but as long as no terms related to sponsor , advertiser is used should be okay..
What do you mean that is OK? Don't spread mumbo jumbo. It is not OK to label your ads anything other than Sponsored Links or Advertisements or the equivalent in another language. Yes you see it done here and there but that doesn't mean Google has taken a look at it and approved it. And while sometimes they might not care, do this at your own risk. Taken from : https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link&hl=en_US Labeling Ads Publishers may not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements." This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.
People are unaware of how incredibly strict google is, you wouldn't believe all the strictness, you can't even have certain text white on white or color on same color. People should really read over the tos, about 90% of adsense sites break the rules.
Bottom line, when in doubt ASK GOOGLE. However, when you do ask them something let them know not to give you an automated response with a link to their "policies". Be specific and then it doesn't really matter what it is if you get the OK you always have the e-mail to prove it.
I agree with m0rtal: Ask google if you wonder if something it ok or not. Who could answer better than google themselves anyway? I actually ask google every time I maske a change with my adsense ads to let them review and confirm its acceptable. They are usually very helpful, and by asking them they will know you are actually interested in doing things legitimately
