Traffic from Stumbleupon

    Hi,

I have been getting huge traffic from StumbleUpon (i.e., daily atleast 150). But the avg. time spent per user is almost 0secs. Why is it so? Are the real users visiting my website through StumbleUpon or is it something else?

And this has also decreased my traffic from Google. Before I used to get good traffic from Google, but now it's not happening.

    Guys any suggestion about this?

I doubt this is the reason why your traffic has decreased from Google to be honest. There must be some other reason for that.

As for the average time the users have spent on your site from StumbleUpon, are you getting any traffic which is staying on your website for a longer period of time from other sources?

I have seen the statistics through statcounter. It is showing avg. time spent by stumbleupon visitors is 0secs.

However when I checked analytics, it showed the total avg. time of toal visitors is about 2 mins. Now I am confused as I am not able to understand the traffic which I am getting is real or not

Most of the time the traffic that you 'get' from stumbleupon after you stumbled an article is the pings to your website. in fact they are kind of robots not actual visitors.

A ping can make a 150 pageviews in a day? I am getting daily around 150 pageviews from StumbleUpon. And hardly I stumble daily.

The question is how many are converted into sales or ad impressions. StumbleUpon has it own advantage anyway.

Yes, every pageview from StumbleUpon is taken as a Adsense Impression.

Hi friend in my opinion when ever you submit your webpage make sure relevant category use in submission and also friend add but relevant like a you site category is web development related so you select only web related friend's not cooking or beauty related so this helpful to you.

Traffic from these bookmarking sites is always garbage. They never stay long, they don't click ads or buy anything. They just increase your bounce rate.

Do you need followers on StumbleUpon to make it likely that you'll get a lot of views...

It works this way with Digg, Twitter, and Facebook....

StumbleUpon does not offer back links. Other bookmarking sites i.e. Digg,FolkD do that at least.
