We did not focus on SERP rankings, as stated in the auction the main source of income was through backlink sales which were advertised on various forums and websites.

Also, I never claimed I was an SEO expert, the business was the focus of this site, not the search engine optimization and rankings.

I made over $1200/month on average over the last 6 months, I am going into a marketing internship in California that won't allow me the time I need to keep working on this site, which is why I am selling.

 

where do your sales coming from? PPC? how do you make $1200 per month last six month?

 

The sales come from a mix of forum marketing, website promotions, and return customers. We have a strong customer base currently many of which are repeat customers who purchase links on a monthly basis.

The majority of sales come from the backlink sales, we have had a few website design and SEO sales but those were only a small percentage.

Selling a site making 1.2k a month for 2k? Bidders watch out.

 

The site only has 6 months of revenue, which is why I am only asking $2k. I am selling it due to an internship I am doing in Californication, I am moving out of state and won't have access to a computer every day to check for orders and processing the existing orders.

I sell websites for what I feel they are worth, with only 6 months of revenue this site is still fairly new. I won't have the time to keep it going when I move which is why I am offering it at only $2k. I could easily get over $5k for this site if I spent weeks or even months searching for the right bidders, but unfortunately I do not have the time as I will be moving at the end of the month.

I see you also sell websites, I am not sure what your motivation was for the post unless you're only looking to try and move bidders to your own sites.

 

What is wrong with this picture? $900 per month profit. Site is less than a year old. And, the Seller will sell for $250, or little more than 2 months profit? AND, it does not require your direct effort, that is everything is outsourced.

Why would ANYONE take such a loss? I am just saying...

I am not taking much of a loss, as stated previously I am moving to CA for an internship, I won't be able to work on this site everyday to check on orders like I do now, so instead of just letting the business and it's clients suffer I wanted to pass this along to someone else who is capable of running the business.

I have bought and sold websites for over 6 years, asking $2k on a 900/month profit is not unreasonable, that's about 2 months of profit. If the site had 12+ months of revenue you can be sure I would be asking for close to $5k.

What makes you think this is a scam?
