Wordpress - Cloud hosting speed difference

Ive noticed a lot of people running wordpress on shared hosting and they are experiencing slow page load times compared to cloud hosting, have any of you moved to cloud hosting and experienced the speed difference?

Wordpress seems to run a lot faster, plugins install instantly... not after 20 seconds..

    Anyone else noticed?

I haven't tried cloud hosting, but I have moved shared hosting providers a number of times. Currently with Bluehost. I almost feel like it's complete luck with shared hosting whether you will have tons of problems or perfectly fast loading.

I just use a dedicated server. No problems. Shared hosting sucks. Especially if you have a big site, or multiple sites.
It costs money to do this. You can't shortcut it.

I have shifted my WordPress from shared server to cloud server. I have noticed super fast speed with WordPress on cloud as compared to shared hosting. With Cloud hosting, page loading times have reduced dramatically and I am getting a very smooth functioning of WordPress.

Yes some people including me prefer to use cloud hosting for this reason.

I currently run my own cloud server systems.

Shared hosting on traditional single server ( dedicated servers ) is the " old " web hosting technique. Cloud servers have limited issues due to the large amount of hardware of which the OS is spread across.

Costs money? Yet im offering free hosting on cloud server systems? Must not cost that much??

Just one cloud node with 250 clients on it - Chews through 5TB a day, medium load still fast as - a dedicated server for the price of my cloud would be a big ask.....

For shared hosting I recommend using weebly.com. I have used them a lot in the past and they are very strong because they integrate all their servers into one server which handles all of their traffic with lots of extra room. I have seen weebly websites featured on digg.com front page and not affect the traffic speed at all.

We are not talking about shared hosting??

Cloud hosting providers to not pool all resources into one server, unfortunately?
