1953 - US overthrows democratically elected leader and installs a puppet dictator to controls Iran's oil resources.

1979 - Khomeini a shia cleric takes power and makes big changes that the US does not like.

1980 to 1988 - The US helps Saddam Hussein to invade Iran, at the same time Iran is supplied with weapons by the US and Israel so Iraqi's and Iranians could finish each other off, hundreds of thousands die and billions are wasted until the war came to an end after 8 long years.

Today - The US still does not like the fact that it doesn't have control over Iran, a country they fear might become another economic and military superpower that might hurt them some day. America and its allies have been plotting for years to try to bring down this regime through international sanctions that so far fail to have any significant effect.​
