People don't know any better. 90% of all Adsense publishers never bother reading the TOS.

No, heh, it's just something I found on the net. But trust me, knowing the U.S. Government, this HAS happened.

There really are a hell of a lot of sites google need to wise up on...I think most of the time, big earners just get a warning for a violation, rather than account termination.

You are giving them way too much credit... Id say 99%.
And then 50% of the ones that did didn't really understand them or think they can "bend" the rules a bit

I would take adsense off and use another ad program that allows there ads on adult sites because google can easliy tell where you clicks are coming from. The trace it some how. Heard something about cookies but don't know. Mmmm...cookies make me hungry.

They track more than where your clicks are ocming from. They track your IP, how long you have been on the page, where you go after the click, how long you spend on those pages, and much more. There was a thread on this a while back, use the search feature to find more about it.

A lot of the times you can chalk this up to a combination of ignorance of the TOS and short-sighted greed, i.e. they want to make money now, and screw the future.

One thing I thought one could do...is wait until their account ahs been varified, then on the 24th of the month, clock up a very large sum, and then you will get paid on the 25th, without google catching your abuse before the payment. Would they withdraw this payment from your card? Or, do they varify payments before they are relseased?
