It's very common for the Human Resources team of a company to do some research on the candidate. Maybe it's me and I'm paranoiac, but I'm always thinking that I should not be too wild posting my last-night photos, with me drinking and partying. Also, tweeting very passionate about some topics makes me think that someday an incredibly good company will reject me for my strong opinions about certain topics... I think I may not be doing well my own marketing, but I'm very lazy to set up two accounts: one to express myself and another one with my real name and everything to have a good reputation when some one searches for me on Google. What do yo do? Do you care about this the same way I do? Do you feel completely free to express yourself and who you are on facebook? How do you use your fb or twitter for your own marketing? I am not very wild, I'm actually very responsible, but I like to drink a lot once in a while... and HR people have a lot of prejudgments.
I take care of my facebook and twitter accounts personally thereby controlling every activity going on there.
Hey people! dont just say "Yeah, I take care about them" , it's boring. Do you worry about it? Have you been trough some experience regarding work and social sites?
No I definately don't and neither should you. If the possible boss is such a dick that he let's your personal life affect, fu** it.
Yes, i take care of my personal accounts in Facebook and Twitter. Its the best way to share photos and comments with friends.
Well considering it's your personal or business image on the web, I take it very seriously and try to be responsible as well.
Before I use the company's account (Facebook and Twitter) for my personal and business... but people ask, what do you really do? Though I am not posting any nude pics there ahaha but still they judge it... specially those people that have same field with me.. I decided to separate my PERSONAL posts to other account rather than posting it to company's. I use tool where I can use both accounts at a time
Unless you're a public figure, I think no one can take better care of your accounts than yourself. So yes, I could say I manage my twitter and facebook account myself. Of course you have many options like whatever you tweet it's going to be posted on your facebook time line. Promoting your facebook account on your twitter is another option. And many many others.
I do protect my account very well because I believe that any thing you post on social networks reflects who you are.. so one should be responsible in using these kind of public sites
I do always take care of my social media account like fb, twitter and google+ myself. I do take care of both personal/business accounts.
