I have just started the affiliate side of marketing and wanted to know what I could consider a respectable eCPC. I have been using adsense for a while and driving traffic to those pages but of course they are two different animals. Of course different campains produce better results but what amount does everyone shoot for overall when signing up to azoogle or CJ lets say or even earnings per 100 click-throughs?
it completely depends on your niche, where your users are coming from, and whether the page is made soley to promote that product / store, or if you just have an affiliate ad in there somewhere. most people consider under .5% to be too low. but if it's .5% but pays well despite that, go for it.
I have been buy domains making landing pages or using the ones provided and driving traffic to the pages through adwords/adcenter.
oh, if it's PPC it's much more simple... if you're getting an ROI, the conversion rate is high enough.
The .05% you mentioned? Ive done the math on that and would be really happy to acheive that every month. I've began to diversify the campains not sticking to one or two niches. It may cost a bit more now but I'm hopeful (the experience and data collected) will pay off in 3-6 months.
As long as you get profits it should be ok. Some niches bring in more revenue others less, it depends on many factors.
Earnings per 100 clicks or per click is the ultimate measure but it all depends on the category/niche of your website. If you have a website offering free music download type of information, the EPC would be low -- a lot of freeloaders not looking to buy/pay. You might may $0.02 EPC or $0.10 at best. If you have a financial site or site targeted to corporate/business users you can make $1 or more (or less depending on exact details). Consider trying our programs for a great EPC. Let me know if I can help you.
