Drop in what? I get a traffic drop every Friday compared
with Monday, but that is because people are doing more
    searches on Monday.

I get a really big drop every Saturday;)

The keyword here is "adwords" which has nothing to do with organic results rankings whatsoever.

Now where did you read anything about this being run on organic serps???

You do realize many many websites do not use Adwords or Adsense dont you????

Unless Google wrote you specifically and told you what you posted it would be best not to spread rumors and innuendo....

and now for the real deal from the Google Adsense Blog.....

You can read the Adword Blog posting about this issue by following this link

    http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/11/landing-page-quality-update.html#links

Remember believe none of what you hear and only half what you read, even if you read it at SEW...:D

i stated where i seen it and i know that is for adwords/adsense what I said is that they are adding a new search algo that uses and "updated version of the adwords landing page score algo" there are obviously some differences and its not a score that google is going to make public its just another addition to their already complex search engine algorithm......

But since it is an updated version of the adwords algo then it is pretty safe to say that if your site scores good for that then it will do good with the updated ranking algo and if your site already had a low adwords landing page score then this update will hurt your rankings.............

site command has been screwed for at least a year now and depending which DC you query you'll also get different results - mine vary from 150K pages to 20k pages for one of my sites. :)

It says nothing about a new search algo anywhere......where do you dig up crap like that????

The two sides are not remotely related whatsoever and to even make a statement that if you do well in adwords you'll do well in organics would be one of the most off the wall statements ever made

Again many many many websites do no participate in adwords so trying to base organic results on a handful of sites is BS....

Wait it out. As others have mentioned, rankings constantly fluctuate on Google.

whatever dude i know what i read and it was either from searchenginewatch or searchenginejournal and i am pretty sure they know more about SEO and search engines than either you or i do so if you wanna get all pissy about it go complain to them for publishing it in the first place :p

Seems they definitely know more about search engines than you....dont lump me in with you on that though......

I pointed you to the horses mouth about the adwords changes... and either you chose to ignore it... or just feel like listening to yourself babble. If anyones pissy its you lol ....

So giving out misinformation when youve crowned yourself an elite seo seems contradictory....especially given this quote of yours from another thread

You cannot get listed in lower 2 of the top 3 search engines and youre an SEO???? And an elite one at that??

uh huh, ok if you say so....

I did see you thing about the adwords and I have listed sites in MSN and Yahoo just none of mine but have got clients websites on the first page for keywords with xx,xxx, xxx competing sites. And i never said i was elite that is just a username i made up real quick and i just like the word elite i use it all the time dont mean nothing especially since i am not advertising myself or services on here. Finally the reason for my pointing out that I can get my sites listed on Google without problem but not Yahoo or MSN was part joke since everyone seems to complain and say its soooo hard to get indexed and ranked on Google :p But I am not going to keep up this pissing contest with you I read what I read and whether you care I really could care less i am not going to clutter the thread debating personel opinions

Well as you said the rankings droped accross a range of sites...such things may happen when google penalises a group of sites...have u heavily interlinked your sites with same pattern..??? be careful anyways

when you are running a group of sites always make sure to opt for the dedicated IP address for each on and try and use more than one host if you can. Also dont straight link exchange each site to every other site or in a distinct pattern A to B to C to D to E to A try and mix it up so that it looks more natural like A to C and E - B to A and D ect.

I've been wondering recently if different dedicated IPs on different C classes from the same host is effective, or if Google weights that and you actually must go with a completely seperate host.

I am sure Google is capable of determining that although the IPs may be on different C blocks, that they are geographically in the same location.

Anyone have a list of reliable, cheap hosts that are well used for site networks?

I have been running my sites with hostdepartment.com and Google seems to not have any problems with running a network with them. They have free dedicated IP's so all of my sites have their own IP whether or not they are on different class C block i dont know since i have never had a problem with that I have not checked.
