    Making that first sale is really a good feeling... but when you start getting direct payments to your bank account every month on 'autopilot' - *that* is when the real fun begins! If you've done everything else correctly, then some solid backlinking should get your site to the number one position...

    You can do everything else correctly, but if you're too lazy to backlink, you won't see those really juicy amounts coming from Amazon.

    People DO buy from Amazon through Affiliate links. It is fun to see what sells, sometimes stuff that seems totally unrelated to your site(s). This is probably because a cookie is involved so that once a potential Customer goes to your site and then to Amazon, even though they buy elsewhere on the Amazon site... you still get the commission!! Woot!

    We see regular and typical Amazon sales on our sites (and sometimes some great commissions!), problem has been consistency and increasing volume of sales... working on it! working on it! LOL.
