I'm looking for a web to print ecommerce solution.
A user should be able to upload their own designs or use an online design facility.

Ideally I'd like to be able to use Zen Cart or Magento.

I've seen a few from searching on Google , like http://www.onprintshop.com - but I'd like to know if anybody here has had experience with these systems.

this allows for design side of things. What if the customer wants to order a business card and upload their own design?

Also, what about options and attributes like how this is setup - http://bit.ly/f4paGy

I would have to flow chart this in order to spell it out completely but it is certainly doable.

This is magento for instance http://www.printerpros.co.uk/shop/index.php/

Have you installed it yet? If not I would largely be talking to myself lol...

Its not so much a matter of doing one or other, its doing both. I would have to mull that over for a bit. It is however possible. Media and coating for instance on a bus. card can be simple custom options but making that an attribute set is likely easier.

If you can let me know everything the site needs to do in its entirety I can likely speed things up for you.
    Sounds like a fun project.
    Nigel

EDIT: I have not looked at this yet but apparently uploading is a feature now. http://inchoo.net/ecommerce/magento/file-upload-in-magento/

Hi Friend, Thats a great idea starting an ecommerce business online, High revenue earning platform. I would like to suggest 3 things for ecommerce as my experience will help you.

    1. If you are planning to buy a ecommerce script, then AJ Shopping Cart Software ,will be the right choice with plenty of user friendly facilities.

    2. If you worry about hosting issue, you can get Zscart - SaaS Ecommerce solution with easy monthly payment option and free trial too. you can make your shop with in five minutes.

    3. If you are looking for free source means, Zeuscart will be right choice. Highly downloaded open source script online.

Good luck ...Choose one for successful ecommerce business.

I tried using zetaprint. In my opinion it is terrible. There are many others out there that look good but you need to ask yourself if you really need this. The only reason I say that is because the good ones are expensive and if you only gat 1 or 2 orders through it per month it is just not worth it. As far as a customer uploading a file to you, you should be able to set that up in Magento.

What is the cost for this? Is there a base price and a monthly fee or just a one time fee?

Our pricing model depends on many factors - whether you are looking for SaaS or integration with your solution, amount of customization needed, amount of traffic expected etc. Please contact us with your exact requirements via nimboedit.com contact page.

We would agree on that. Setting up online configurator tool for only few orders per month would not pay off.

johnmck - I am looking for the exact same thing. there are several in the back of the trade magazines but they all cost several hundred a month plus you have to build it. I something that is does not cost very much and someone to customize it for me. if you find someone please pass them to me when you are done

    Thanks

Greetings John,I understand your requirement of a Web to print solution which supports customized designs and ability to upload your own design and the zen cart integration. In our experience a mere web to print solution is not enough for success, a printing company needs a comprehensive web strategy to make their web store success and visible online, in addition to that it should be backed by a print oriented MIS solution. You should have a look at MyPrintCloud solution, it has a powerful template designer, with thousands of premium print quality templates, custom shopping cart, SEO optimized built-in CMS and fully integrated Print management software. And they have a HTML 5 based designer launching very soon. You can get the retail store up and running for about $900/month. Also you are not required to pay any base price with their current promotion. Check it out at http://www.myprintcloud.com
