what is the first steps we do after creating a website ??

hi everyone

i have just finished my first French Website here www.magazine-sante.info
and i want to know the first steps the we do after creating a site

here some things that i know:

-add the site to search engine(Google yahoo MSN.......)
-add the site to the Directory sites
-get the backlinks (i will use article directories)
-add my pages to the Social bookmaking sites

that what i know
should i do something else ?!

I would submit my website to some quality directories and ask my buddies to link to me from there websites.

 

You should post this in marketing thread.

 

First optimize the pages of your website by adding Title Tags, Meta Tags and H1 in Body etc then do submissions.

 

Submit to Yahoo Directory, if you can afford it.

 

Write more content and start get backlink. Next use google analytics and google webmaster.

 

No need to submit them to search engines, they will pick up all your pages when you gain backlinks from other sites. Do social bookmarking.

Every time I create a new website (which I'm serious about marketing) -

1) Make sure I have enough content created to make the website look alive and not an unfinished one
2) For every website, I make sure I've about 10-20 articles ready and waiting to submit to over 50 article directories.
3) I hired 4 people to create a few hubs, blogs and squids to build backlinks (hubpages, blogger, squidoo). This not a compulsory step, but helpful
4) I make even more content and stuff it down my CMS
5) I heat up the pan and I place a few links on other websites I manage on the Blogroll
6) I get EVEN more content and literally shove it down the websites gullet
7) I make sure I didn't overlook any simple SEO techniques
8) I add Adsense and a few affiliate links on the pages
9) I do a usability test and make sure I don't annoy my users
10) I enjoy my rewards

I have a new website which shows up when you google After School Robotics Classes Houston. That's good because that's what site is about, but...
When I google the company's name Learning Gears it doesn't show up! the site its self hs Learning-Gears in How can I fix this?
Please help I'm new to seo and building websites.
