    It's not expensive. PHPLD costs $75 if you wish to remove the powered by (well, $25 too, but you have to keep the footer link, so it's not comparable). eSyndicat is $49. Or $149 for unlimited license. (correct me on numbers if I'm wrong, it's of the top of my head). Both have a free version.

    Anyway, I have to repeat my directory mantra here. There is no best directory script. Each is stronger in some area and weaker in some other.

    For example, for a general directory that gets 40-100+ submissions per day which need to be reviewed, I would recommend phpLD over eSyndicat without any hesitation.

    phpLd is good. But it can be better if home page template and category page template can be different. Some time we need to show some adevrtiser's link on home page. But with current template system if we add one link that site will get site wide eventually !

    All you need to do is to ad this to the template:

    {if $category.ID == 0}
    the space for links or text that will be displayed on home page
    {/if}
    Code (markup):

    You don't need a "LINK DIRECTORY SOFTWARE PROGRAM" It's a waste of money. Just go join my site. It's just as good, and you'll get something you won't get with a software program. Relevant Link partners.

    I would defintely have to say that my favorite so far is phpld3 The only problem I have with it is it seems the speed of the script has slowed down alot from how it was before the lastest release.

    OK. I misread the instructions for upgrading to eSyndicat Pro 2.0 but, as usual, got a very fast response from the trouble ticket I submitted late last night to set me straight (the solution was waiting for me when I woke up this morning!). The directory is now up and running, and the new version is EXCELLENT! :)

    Why don't you stop this bickering Jeeze, put your features on a page with a link here, then post your prices, then post a link to your forums, then people can make an informed decision instead of this crap my daddy's bigger than yours.

    I can then sneak in and show the features of the phpLynx script compare features, prices and lack of bugs.

    Point being, for christ sake, stop acting like kids, you reckon you are 'industry leaders'? You see them trying to scrore brownie points like this? as if.

    Spend more time fixing the bugs on your scripts instead of constantly seeking backlinks on the forums and blogs you'd be far better off. :rolleyes:
