Unfortuantley yes. My site was recently put in. I was getting about 50+ visitors per day after one month, and then one day that was cut to approximatley two, with no google searches. You just need to look up on it, and change your site to suit. Hopefully that helps.

As far as I am concerned, yes, it exists - I have had new sites ranking pretty well from the beginning and then.... nowhere. I've managed to get out of the sandbox, but it wasn't easy.

Yes, it is real. Sandbox isn't a name given by google, but the sandbox condition is given by google. It'll need some efforts to get out from sandbox.

 

google sandbox is a term that means your site is essentially removed from search results. When Google sandboxes your site it is essentially erased from the internet as far as search goes. I have seen sites getting 200 search hits per day get knocked down to zero overnight once they get put in the Google sandbox. The google sandbox exists because a lot of sites pay for their links and use tactics to make their site the first result in search results.

 

That reminds me of an old saying in Galicia (Spain): "No creo en las meigas, pero haberlas, haylas" (Roughly translated: I don't believe in witches but of course they exist)

I feel like a kid at a playground with all this sandbox talk. it does exist, it doesn't exist, I'm in it, I'm out of it, it's hard to get in it. Stay cool, is my opinion. Be sensibile like someone stated above and you'll avoid it...right?
