How many believe in the secret discussed here? Do you think it's a load of baloney and dumb luck, or do you believe that a person can attract what they want into their lives? Do you have any examples of times when you wished for something and it came to you (beyond the odds)?
You get what you ask for, not becuase you asked for it, but because you stepped up and tried. The law of a attraction as such is bogus, but that doesnt imply that making a effort and trying is wrong. That kind of promotional material takes very basic notions and warps it into something that does fit their worldview. Sadly I think they use this information in a irresponsible way, much like religious leaders uses natural things to explain overnatural things. It's a trick of mind people, nothing more. *For notice, I voted yes, because I belive, yes we do attract things - not becuse of some magic law, but because upbeat and ambitious people try harder and are generally more accepted by others.
I wholeheartedly believe that yes you do attract things to you, be it positive or negative. It's all in your mindset - if you believe and want something enough you attract that energy, plus you likely work towards attaining it.
It's not bogus at all. We definitely attract things (be it positive or negative) into our lives. Of course, you're not going to wish for a million dollars one day and wake up the next morning to a pile of money -- that's not how the Law of Attraction works. However, if you are able to project your thoughts in a positive manner, you can attract that energy towards you. Subsequently, negative thoughts/energy works the same way. I know how the Law of Attraction applies to my life, and I've seen it in work. Others can attempt to debunk the theory all they want, but I don't believe it's a bunch of crap.
No where are they advocating think about it and it will be yours. I believe in this "attraction" but also that you have to be aware enough to take advantage of the opportunities. There is work involved. (which is brought out in the movie)
I voted yes we do attract things into our life . If it was a vote on whether I would pay anything to the site owners of that sales pitch .... guess what I'd vote
I have some really abstract wishes that have come true. But always wishes I've had for other people. As for telling dreadful lies - they've come true too :s Such as .... " sorry - I can't make it in today as the car's broken down & I'm waiting for the RAC" - only for 10 minutes later for my car to burst a tyre on my the way to a great skive day out - totally stranded And another - groaning "Sorry I can't come to work todAY i HAVE THE WORST STOMACH BUG ETC (laid it on real thick)...." only for it to really happen the next day I was really ill Instant karma or what!!
I totally agree about the likeminded people comment. It's not so much that you attract things persay (if i'm in a room with a lot of people i'm rarely magnetically drawn to people (except of course cute girls)). But I think that by living your life a certain way you'll find people who also enjoy living their life similar to you. I don't know, it may all seem like jibberish
You don't "attract" things as such, but a mind with the correct attitude and predisposition will be better able to recognize the good stuff it comes across and take them, in turn putting you on a path where good things will happen more often. We are usually programmed to focus on the negative (after all, a really bad thing in nature can kill you) but our modern world demands that we give much more weight to the positive (as long as you still look both ways when crossing a street).
i think it has elements of truth in it, although i haven't seen it. If they have spent money on making a film and time on a website, then good on them, they deserve to make money, the same way i deserve to make money of my sites which i have put time into. (this is because i noticed alot of people said its just money making scheme, well thats what 99.99% of other sites exist for, to make money!). What rb3m says is true, its more about your mindset than anything, because if you are positive you will see positive things, and thus improve your life, which is what they define as "attraction", whereas if you are negative you will see negative things and miss out on opportunities
