Myspace can be very useful - I use them two ways -- 1. Networking to find potential affiliates and jv partners. I have my own products and affiliate program, each month I find at least 3 new JV partners and Myspace is one area I find them. 2. Using groups - there are some groups on Myspace that are not as strict about prohibiting commercial posts. Jeff
The common mistake people are doing is using bulletins to promote their sites but the actual approach should be leaving comments to your most visited friend with a link behind an image or even a text link. That way if one of your friend has 500 views a day, 100 friends will be 50000. Using the 10% rule, you will have 5000 visits, if you have 10 profiles, you will have 50.000. Nice and easy, I guess.
Its great but you need to understand a users perspective. Think of MySpace link the new kind of email spam. So your Outlook mailbox is now your myspace one, and you don't have any spam filters really for myspace. Soon they will likely add better filters and such to cut down on bulletins.
I just joined myspace, so I'm still not that familiar with how it works. I think however, if you post a bulletin to a message board, that's not the same as posting bulletins to your friends. Message board bulletins are there for all to see, but they aren't sent to specific members. I have used this technique with a little success.
there are still ways to make money off of myspace, you have to be patient and try different ways and see which works best
Myspace marketing is very tricky because some thing just shouldnt be promoted through it. Some topics such as jokes, videos, shirts/clothing, myspace sites are great to promote through myspace. on the 1st page of this thread someone mentions someone who made 50k+ in a week of myspace. They did it by spamming bulletins with cpa offers etc. It isnt really ethical but it can be profitable =x
lol, it depends who u buying it from and how they got their friends. there are many ways to market a product, but some ways just dont work.
OP: You're absolutely right, MySpace marketing isn't worth your time. Now that you know this, feel free to never use it again! Ahem... I'll have to leave it at that, I have some things to do.
MySpace marketing sucks There __USE TO__ to be some bugs in their code that let you make a lot of money but they fixed them.
