What is more proper for a beginner to start learning first HTML + CSS or PHP + MySQL?

    In my part, I would prefer to learn about the basic HTML first. That is most simpler compare to PHP and CSS.

    That is ok but you need CSS with HTML. Pure HTML is nothing without CSS you can see this if you turn off CSS on any website.

    Hi, you can use w3schools.com to learn it step by step or you can try to look up on ebay.com for training DVD. I have seen one but doesn't remember how much it will cost.

    There are still sites out there that have never updated to using CSS. Not many, true, but they still exist.

    This is true but as everything develops more and more web sites are using latest technologies. As for topic HTML and CSS3 are a must for web developing.
