What Happened to My Site?

I went from a PR3-0 and lost all of my google search results over a period of three days this week. I didn't change anything and the site is still listed in google.

Any ideas? It's the first site in my signature.

    Thanks

Sounds like you got penalized by G. Normally you can tell if it's been penalized by the rate at which the traffic falls off. If it's sudden like in a couple days then probably a penalty, if traffic drops off over several weeks then probably not due to a penalty.

The biggest thing that stands out to me is the lack of content. You have plenty of pics but hardly any real content (text).

Thanks, I posted on the google help forums and a poster told me I was probably penalized for excessive backlinks. I have a link on a forum I own and when I checked backlinks it was pulling a thousand from the forum like members profile pages etc.

As far as content goes, it has been the same site since 2008 and has been a PR3 with a couple of thousand visitors a day so just to suddenly drop like that is odd. Obviously their new algorithm doesn't like it.

I will also try to limit outlinks but it's a blog, it umpossible to not have outgoing links.

I would remove any site wide links like that (footer links). After 2-3 links from a site they become less effective.

Your site content could have been the same since 1996. The thing now is that G is making so many changes and with their new Updates your content can be a problem now. No matter how many years before it may have been just fine.
