Soon it will be a rush to get out the door before the dollar becomes worthless. Last one out the door loses everything.

And just look at how well it has worked out![IMG]

At 32 Rubles a dollar, vs 28 a year ago, it looks like Iran is getting 15% less for the oil the sell to Russia.

Look on the bright side. Better to get 15% less for your oil than not be able to sell it at all. Looks like Russia may soon be it's only client, and perhaps not even them if the EU complete's it's sanction package, which it looks like they will.

Again, the US currency only looks weak until you compare it to pretty much anyone else.

This thread is about how the world is slowly dropping the dollar, not how strong/weak the Iranian currency is. Major events are unfolding before our eyes, what have you done to prepare yourself for hyperinflation?

I am part of the rest of the world. I would not touch US treasury IOUs with a ten foot pole. So your statement is false.

One of these days, you will find that US treasuries are worthless because they are based on lies. I hope you understand and act on that before they become worthless. Of course, that is assuming that they become worthless within the time frame of the rest of your life.

Sorry, when I said "the rest of the world" I was really talking about the rise in value of the US dollar since our credit downgrade. Its a sign people are buying treasuries..... not you specifically, but more than are selling them. I'm sure it doesn't hold a candle to your currency, whatever it might be.

Question: Is it better to invest in a currency based on lies, or in a currency held up by a currency based on lies?

Probably isn't all that applicable to trading goats.

So flee US treasuries as they may or may not devalue in one persons lifespan? Let me guess. You are also predicting a team from the NFL will in the Superbowl?

Iran sells oil to Russia ? Where do you get your thoughts? Russia is #1 oil producer in the world, why would they need iranian oil?

Silly me, good point. So if Russia is selling it's oil in Rubles, it must be the cheapest available oil on the planet..... unless..... they keep the price pegged to the value of the dollar.

I think thats a hard and expensive way, since Iran is far away from Baltic. But who knows. I just never heard of such deals between Iran and Russia. The only deals Ive heard, is Iran buying from Russia weapons, and russians are building nuclear plants like "Bushehr".

Paper currency can become toilet paper overnight, precious metals like Gold and Silver have always had and will always have some value.

The problem is western countries think by boycotting Iran's oil they're going to cripple the government not knowing that the only ones getting hurt are the every day people there.
