when I am in junior high school. I really like game RPG Chrono Trigger. why? because the mission is to save the world. how about you?
I have a few RPG games that I would consider to be my favorites: 1. Final Fantasy VII This was the first real RPG I can remember playing to completion. Although the graphics were nothing compared to the graphics of today's game, the battle system, and more importantly, the story line, were exciting and engaging (besides the extremely long "Lifestream" cut-scene). 2. Chrono Cross The aspect of this game that I really found myself enjoying were the dialogues between the characters. Although sounding a bit forced at times, philosophic themes can be found throughout the game. At the same time, the game focus on the idea of multiple universes, or parallel worlds, which triggers a scientific imagination of how the universe may work. 3. Final Fantasy X-2 The number three spot in my list of favorite RPG games was a close tie between Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Ultimately, FFX-2 came out on top because of the job system, and of course the all-female characters (Rikku was always my favorite).
Golden sun 1 + 2 brilliant RPGs if you haven't played them i highly recommend you check them out. they are for the game boy advance. My second favorite close to first would be the Pokemon series pure nostalgia
arx fatalis, the elder scrolls morrowind, gothic 2, and thats about it. Skyrim was pretty good as well.
Skyrim. I really need to get on purchasing it. Played a decent amount when borrowed from a friend and it was just pure fun. Addictive too.
I heard the first RPG game I used to think this game turned out as I see it and play it exciting and I like RPG Game
Bought Chrono Trigger when I was little for SNES, didn't know what it was or what to expect, it changed my young life and was like...oh man you have no idea the experience that was. My SNES came with Zelda: Link's Awakening so I was already spoiled, and the first game I bought was Megaman X. The stories in those games...The complexity of the characters and mission... The attention to detail... These games were serious. I'm surprised I was even able to have a grasp of what was going on so young considering the stories were literally EPIC and I didn't have that in any other sort of media I consumed at that age (books? hell no there was no book I read at age 5 as amazing as the story of Zelda. Movie? To compare with chrono trigger or final fantasy? no way. Music? the music in these games are...unbelieveable...not the BS pop music of the 90s) equally so, renting final fantasy ii and having to go through the internal drama of having my best friend become an enemy (cecil and the dragoon) and falling in love and realizing you can't be a weak little nancyboy if you expect to be a force of good, but you can't become a monster either because you'll lose everything, final fantasy iii and the rivalries that existed for the girl you want. final fantasy vii and understanding that not all is what it seems, there is a better way of doing things, and that inside us is the equal capability of incredible good or an inconceivable evil). final fantasy viii and the importance of NOT BEING AN EMO BITCH. SQUALL, RINOA LIKED SEIFER BECAUSE HE WASNT AN EMO BITCH, YOU FOOL. RPGs are initiatory dramas that you control; movies and books, not a game to me. RPGs make you feel like you have to take responsibility and take care of things around you (in your life/the world) because in the game you're a little piece of nothing that has to get stronger because everyone's counting on you. It really is a very powerful lesson for a young boy playing these games. It opens up and plays on your desire to explore your world and interact with people and solve their problems when asked and to overcome an obstacle because there's more of the story to unfold, in game and in life. 2 kinds of people exist: The ones that think RPGs are only videogames and a form of escape and the ones who think they're an extension of the lessons in the real world. People that play Madden Football are the same as WoW fanatics.
