$100 iPhone App Homepage Design - Creative Designs

Hello There,

We are developing a restaurant iPhone app. We need your help with designing it.

This contest is for 1 page, not the entire app. We will pay $100 for this page and we will hire the winner to design the other pages.

Just to give you an idea of how this page should look like..
We have attached an example of the main page. Homepage-Example


We need you to recreate this design and put your creativity in it, we expect a professional design examples.

The design must be user friendly.

"Call us" Button & "Map" Button

Small icons: Delivery, Events, Romantic, 24/7, Outdoor Sitting, Parking, Smoking Area / No Smoking, Wireless, Catering, Accessibility
Just use icon samples from the web (and reference it)

Note: You can use as many icons as you want, but keep in mind it should be part of a full set.

Tab bar (footer menu):
5 Main icons:

1. About (Homepage)
2. Food Menu
3. Reservation
4. Coupon
5. Facebook or Live Feed icon (Please don't use the normal "F" icon)

Note, The homepage tab should be designed as pressed.

Feel free to resize and change the structure of the Navigation bar or the Tab bar if you feel that it suits your design.

Hey guys, thank you for your private messages. We are checking your designs and will answer every one of you.

Just so you know... in the contest above we have attached designs we liked, you don't have to copy it, feel free to suggest your own colors, your own navigation and tab bars...
Think restaurant... We are looking for something more creative, better colors. We don't have a specific design that we want to follow.. but we liked the examples we have attached to the contest.

As for the measurements, the height of the page 460Pix, but keep in mind that the page can be a long page as iPhone allows you to slide the page up and down...(and left and right in other cases)..

we kindly request to immediately remove your link to our site restaurantsinteriordesign.com mentioned in your post as a free place where to take pictures to be used for your application.
It's not a blog, it is our website, made of photos from our customer, a professional interior designer and these photos are protected by copyright.
Who gave you the permission to use or suggest these photos for your app??? We didn't nor did our client.

So please immediately provide to cancel/remove the link and any project made using our pictures!

is it OK to use regular (alphabet) font ? (since the actual site using Hebrew's font)

 

Sure, use english font instead, but make sure to place it from right to left (RTL).

Thank you for the submission,
the design looks good but not for our project, I guess its not your first time to design an iphone app (I'll be surprised if not).

What's good to see:
- The navigation bar (upside) is very good, the idea of merging it with the whole page (but again the colors are not what we're looking for).
- Side buttons is an excellent choice, Love it.
- The small stars are good too, can be used instead of icons.

What we don't want to see:
- Dark colors and textures.
- Not sophisticated Tab Bar (downside), I will explain, size should be 320x49 like the standard tabbar (as apple describes) but texture looks prominent (some fabulous gradient or a bit shinny look, as your taste).
- Text is difficult to read, dark on dark.
