I plan on adding a privacy policy to my website, but if I do so won't I get hit with a duplicate content penalty. I have no lawyer and i plan to just copy some text from free public domain sites
Put your privacy policy on a separate page. Make sure your robots file and meta tags are set to NOINDEX for that page. Also make sure all links pointing to that page are NOFOLLOW links. If Google does not index that page, you should not be penalized for duplicate content.
Use robots txt file for your duplicate content page and do not submit your page on other No follow site.
google don't count the privacy policy page and don't see it as a duplicate content, i don't know how but i think it's something in there systems i have multiple sites all with the exact privacy policy page, the important is all over the site not a single page in your site. to your success Ayman X
It appears to me that SHE is the WEBSITE DEVELOPER. Are you telling her to consult with herself? How stupid can one get?
