    Hello SEO people,

Link building technique is completely end this year. How much you like Link building? It's really affects in SEO?

The process has already started, and as a publisher you need to make sure you are adapting your marketing strategy to line up, or get left behind. Google made the link building algorithm popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It was a revolution in its time because it provided search engines with a method for identifying the most important web pages for a given topic. However, as has been well documented, spammers have assaulted the algorithm with a wide variety of methods for buying links or creating them in other ways that don't work for the algorithms.

What what kind of new strategy for SEO now? Anyone?

For me, as long Google doesn't come out with official statement about this, I'm going to stick with link building.

I admit I didn't read the entire article but I was talking talking about SEO because this the SEO section. The author was talking about other ways to get traffic. I agree that social-media play a huge role but Google still very much a king when it comes to people looking for information.

We do SEO for search engines, Social media drives only traffic but not back links. I think now onwards link building is going to be useless. We need to build natural back links through articles and press releases. We need to stay updated. Matt Cutts from Google also recommended few years back that "Natural links are better than non-natural".

If you read the article, you would see that link building does not 'completely end'. The author of the piece merely seems to think it will become less of a factor in SEO.

If link-building is the only strategy used to build up confidence in your site, I would indeed see reason to worry, but I would hope that any responsible webmaster would be clever enough to not put all of his/her eggs in one basket, and have multiple strategies to create exposure for their site.

All in all, this development (if the author's presumptions turn out to be accurate), would mostly hurt the gray/black-hats just spamming hundreds or thousands of links to a site in order to boost its rank. That's a good thing ;) It helps genuine sites stand out and not be short-changed due to other people not willing to invest time and effort, but relying on shortcuts.

You are right. If any website have a backlink from a relevant and genuine website, then it certainly will help. So we should concerned about quality not quantity and certainly should stop spamming.

Thanks for sharing. This sort of news publish every now and then.

Btw Article writer is on think process, just read the text below:
"I don't believe that search engines will penalize people who link build this way, but I think they will value the link profile that is manually built less than one that obtains unsolicited endorsements from the web."

Yeah definitely Google appreciate if you create something of your own.

I agree, don't buy or sell links. It's good to have a wide diversity of different types of links. It's a bonus if some of them have good links of their own. It will always be hard for engines to truly tell natural from unnatural, so I wouldn't pack up shop yet. But yeah, selling links is gay. Those links you sell are worth more to you than the money you get for them, I assure you.

I'm agreed georgefuller there is no official post, but if you check out Matt Cutts blog. He already said few years back that "Natural links are better than non-natural". We should not wait for official post, all we need to do observe. We should work smartly.

Check out Matt Cutts' vidoes on the subject of seo on youtube. It's where the links are coming from that has more importance now. Spammy links have been devalued but still hold a liitle weight depending on niche and competition level.
