I was just wondering why I am not able to make threads in the Sale section for ebooks. I have an ebook I would like to sell that I wrote.

You need to have 25 posts and to have been a member for 14 days - then you just need to wait for a cron job to run and upgrade you.

The system only checks if you are eligible for an upgrade if you actually VISIT the site. Otherwise the system would be going through 500,000 accounts every hour. Prior to today, you haven't visited the site since September 24... so between then and now it didn't bother checking if you were eligible. Now that you *have* visited, if your account isn't upgraded 25 minutes from now (next hourly check), let me know.

Why does the forum have such a limit anyway?

To give people a track record before they start doing business.

If you look at all the posts a person has made it tells you something.
Have they just posted "looks good" in 25 threads in the reviews section?
    Or
Have they posted thoughtfully in 25 posts relating to topics that are, in turn, related to your requirements?
