Thanks for that. It did look like they were a bit rude in getting him off the stage from the video footage.

Looks like the guy was lost and didn't know what to do. Blame whoever coordinated the event - they Australians won and just wanted to get the trophy and photos while the guy was standing waiting for what to do next.

Check the clip again and look at the guys face and reaction as to what to do next.

I am not jealous or anything of that kind mate:)
The man, however hopeless he may be, is president of the cricket board, and basic courtesy demands that you show respect while dealing with the guy.

Maybe the Aussies never meant it, but as brand ambassadors of your country abroad, you are supposed to behave well.:)

    Thats all:D

He asked him to get off the way. He did not kick him or asked him to get lost. I don't want a person to be in a picture with "MY" team..simple...I ask him to move aside....no big deal. No one pushed him BTW.

Lol @ the way Sharad Pawar was standing with the cup. It seems as if he is out of the world....HAHAHA he wasn't even looking at the Australians...His job there was to give the cup to Ricky Ponting (which is obvious and I am sure he knows who Ricky Ponting is). Instead of that he was looking somewhere else with his back at the Australian team (was he expecting Rahul Dravid & the Indian team? :D :D LOL). Isn't that disrespectful for a team who has come to your country to play cricket?

This is the most rediculous thing I have ever read.

So the guys wanted to enjoy their win and the photo op. Seems like they earned it to me.

This is not political, this is sour grapes, sarathy.

Looking at the clip multiple times I feel the Australians were the ones who should feel bad. They have won the trophy...they are obviously on a high....they are standing there expecting this man to come to them give a pat at the back and hand over the trophy. What do you expect in such a scene? The whole world is watching at the Australians celebrate and our minister is day dreaming...looking somewhere else as if he has no clue why is he standing there.
I feel Mr. Pawar should have gone to Ricky Ponting and handed him the cup. LOl, he wasn't even looking at them FFS :D
