    Hi, All
I am not so expert but I've learned jquery, css, php and mysql. Now i want to run a forum using a free software. I also want to apply adsense here. It will be like digitalpoint. Which free software will suit me.
    Thanks.

Any. It's completely up to your personal preference. I personally prefer phpBB over any other free forum software, but that's just my opinion. My suggestion is to try them all and see which one you like the best.

    Thank you Stingerftw
I would be benefited if I would know the specificity (comparatively merits-demerits) of the existing software.

No worries, again your best bet is to try them all for yourself, see which has the features you desire.

    What?

I prefer SMF. It has good features and userfriendly forum. You do not need to install additional mods for premium membership option, it is built in option with SMF.

As others have said it's all down to personal preference, I chose phpBB from the free ones.

I personally prefer SMF over other free solutions :) MyBB is also nice but the bad part about that software is the lack of modifications or better yet, all these subscription sites popping up that make you pay money just for the one modification you want... I am fine with people wanting to make money but I am not fine with having to keep track of 50 different forums that I had to pay to seeing as their payment system will auto-charge my credit card when the next payment year comes around.

If MyBB had something like IPS Marketplace, it would be a lot better :)

PhpBB... if that was my only forum option, I would quit running forums ;)

    Hi tasmahi 216

SMF is supported by an amazing community. I've been with them for years and I'm very proud about it.
I used phpBB a couple of times but SMF is waaaaay better.

    Hope that helps :)
