Contest $200 | ONE page PSD Design | Hotel Reservations Website

I am in need of a design overhaul of my hotel reservations website and would like you to help me.

Some info/requirements:

• Contest is for a ONE page design only, meaning that it should be delivered in PSD format and NO coding necessary
• First price is $200 and if enough good quality designs come in, the 2nd price is $100 and 3rd price is $50
• Design should look PROFESSIONAL, modern and inspire confidence, as people need to be comfortable spending money on hotel reservations
• Design should be optimized for a screen resolution of 1024px width, meaning that the design should be a little less than 1024px in order to take into account the sidebars of the browser/screen etc.
• My website is about a specific city which lists hotels in that city together with a search for hotels in that city
• Search box to search availability of the hotels needs to be prominently displayed on the left side above the fold, as this is the action I want visitors to take
• Search box should display: Check-in date with calendar, Check-out date with calendar, Nr of rooms and a Search button
• There needs to be space for a short description of the city, around 150 words of space
• There needs to be space to highlight different individual hotels
• The use of images in both navigation and H1/H2/H3 should be limited or non-existing. Meaning that both navigation and H1/H2/H3 should be plain text for SEO purposes
• My website is available in different languages, so therefore a section with a minimum of 6 languages should be incorporated in the design
• I don't really like giving examples, as most of the time people will simply copy them, but I do understand that you need some more info, so here is:

People, I already received a few designs through PM, which is fine if for some reason you don't want to showcase your design to other people, although I distinctly prefer you to post them here.

What is a problem however, is that the designs look extremely similar to what I have already. Now what is the point of me re-designing my site if the new designs look extremely similar? No point I would say...

Therefore I really don't like to include what my site looks like, as I already said in the opening thread, but since I CLEARLY stated that I do NOT want people to copy the design, I thought it was fine to include it. How wrong was I...

So again, do NOT copy what my website looks like now and change a few colors only, that is NOT a re-design and I want a RE-DESIGN of my website, meaning that I need it to look different from what it looks like now.

So PLEASE, for everybody who enters, try to come up with something a little bit original, please...

Not really, it should look professional and inspire confidence in the website, but feel free to come with your own idea of what kind of color scheme fits those requirements.

@ardianet: thanks, not bad, but can you please make following changes:

- Change the hotel room picture to a picture from Myrtle Beach. Reason is that now it looks more like a website for an individual hotel, while it is a website to search for multiple and different hotels in Myrtle Beach and therefore a picture of Myrtle Beach is more suiting.

- The "Hot Deals" just below the hotel room picture, it is not bad, but I feel it takes your eye off the search box and I want people to use the search box. I don't want them to read and I don't want them to click individual hotels, I want them to do an availability search and therefore the search box should really stand out so people use it and not click somewhere else. However, I am not sure if it will look nice without them, so maybe something needs to be there, not sure. What I am sure about though, is that the search box should really grab your attention, begging to be used.

- Can you remove the "Guests" part of the search box. As I said in opening post, only check-in, check-out and rooms are needed.

- The footer, well, that is something I really don't like. It looks like a very standard, dark picture from last century. Definitely get rid of the buildings on the left and maybe that is already sufficient, but not sure.

@El Mariachi: don't have deadline at the moment, I am not in a huge hurry, I just want a few good quality designs first. When I feel there are at least 3 quality designs to choose from, then I will say exactly when it will end with either 1 or 2 days extra, so other people can still join the contest.

@EveryBody: I just heard from my developer that the thumbnail pictures of the individual hotels need to be 70x70px, so please take that into account when designing.

I change the layout a bit so it has Different section(and background color too) for Different feature of the web.
The Search Form - The description - Hot Deals - Featured Hotels - Other Hotels.

The hotel's thumbnails are already in 70px x 70 px ...

I'm not quite sure if you need a footer or not, so I just remove the previous black block footer from the design.

- Indeed use text for navigation
- For hotel thumbnail pictures, please use 70x70px
- Please use the same languages as on my website at the moment
- Can you change the beach picture into something more unique to Myrtle Beach?
