How to tell if websites are blocked in schools?

Is there any way to tell if your websites are blocked in Schools? Does anybody know where they get the list of websites to block from? Or is it done dynamically by looking at the sites name/content?

    Thanks!

Most schools only block websites that are considered objectionable or overly distracting. If your site has any adult content, alcohol or drug references, or even discusses guns or explosives, there's a good chance it's been blocked. Sites whose primary purpose is to host games will also often be blocked. If you're asking this question in relation to the site in your signature, it's possible you're being blocked by school networks. They generally don't block based on lists but by keywords, so there's not much you can do to remove a site from a school's blacklist.

It's difficult to know if your site is on the school administration's blacklist unless you are in the 'know'. Most websites aren't blocked in schools unless they have explicit or objectionable content that shouldn't be viewed by children. Some schools are stricter than others.

Maybe if you notice a significant dip in web traffic between school hours, especially on weekdays, that could be an indication of a block. However, there are many variables that could influence that number though...

Go ask the kid in your street to put your URL in the school computer to see if it comes up or not!

I agree, I mean who cares what website they block or not, the question is do they blocked your website?

If it is blocked, no one will be able to access it.
