Don't waste your money, having a listing in DMOZ is not guaranteed, if the site changes hands and nature, expect it to be dropped.

Yes because the DMOZ have another secret database that monitors the WHOIS data and when it changes one of the remaining editors comes up from the dungeon and deletes the site from DMOZ.

They also go back through the 1 million categories and check each sight to make sure the nature of the site does not change. These are the same 1 million categories that haven't had entries added to certain ones since Clinton was President!!

Go buy those sites, no one is going to notice or change anything.

There are a gazillion entries and not enough editors to review each site once in 20 years!

Many editors actually do check for that on many sales sites (like here on BST). Those sites are often deleted, or at least put back in the queue for re-review.

Define "Many" in direct relation to total listings on DMOZ?

The chances of an editor going back to 1 of the 1,000,000+ listings and doing the research on whether the site was recently bought or sold is what??

Again, Go buy up those sites that have DMOZ listings if you think that is worth a damn (it's not) the chances of someone dropping the listing are slim to ZERO

Save your money, for once,Q is spot on right. Bots do the work and throw them out for editors to check and that means not listed until an editor checks to see what has happened. Not long ago saw a complaint of someone who had bought a site, it got de-listed and they wanted to complain to DMOZ!!!

These are known as DMOZ Fairytales. The magical bots and the scores of editors that work through millions of submissions.

You should tell them that the payment was only valid for one listing and when it changes they should pay again. Great idea to increase senior editors income, well done. :)

No. The upgrade to the backend hardware/software that took place in 2010 was significant to say the least.
