How to increase adsense CTR

I placed on the website adsense, but it is rarely clicks. I want to know how to improve adsense CTR?

 

Improve traffic first!
And then try different ad placements.

 

Agree to Digital subhi's suggeestion. Another thing, most of the people say that ads should be displayed on the right hand corner because most of the people are right-handed and will most likely click on your ads.

 

I would suggest you to have 2 rectangle ads at the top to increase the CTR. It improves the click rate . If you have decided to integrate adsense, do not feel sigh about it. Show it to the people so that they could see it and click it.
Having your adsense blocks in the first fold does increase the ctr

Forums are used to discuss your queries, problems with real human beings who have gone through the same or know the answers to them..unlike google where's a bot tells you hundreds of websites which might well be useless..

Anyway, I believe Digital_shubhi and jaseenoor have hit the spot really well..The first step is simple.the more the traffic, the more chances are of getting a genuine click on your adsense..Secondly, try experimenting with your ad positioning.I usually try one square at the right side while having a stretched rectangular ad on the top where my website name and logo is displayed..If you have blog posts or articles you can place your ads on those pages as well..

 

play around with the ads placement, see whether the CTR have improved.
If not, then it is not becuase of the ads placement

like @subhi said, first thing you have to do to make a good Adsense earning is get the good traffic, then you can modify your ads placement and such things (increase ctr) to generate good adsense earning. And remember, don't ever use blackhat ways, because once your account get banned, you can never get the new one.

 

placing ads towards the bottom of the content will be more helpful

once the reader reads the article, if he sees something relavent at the bottom of article, there is more chance of clicking the ad that just placing in the website header and above article or in the middle of article.. they may be annoying to users

If you are using wordpress, you can search for high CTR themes in google. You will be able to find lot of free and premium wordpress high CTR themes
