Hello. Yesterday I found the co-op network and I like it. I registered with a username and password and then I went to the "Setup instructions". I followed all the steps there but when I try to validate my website www.e-articles.info it says that Ads not found on http://www.e-articles.info/. I cannot understand why... If somebody can help me... please give me an advice. Once again, mention that I followed all those setup steps exactly as described in the "Setup instructions" section. Sincerely, John.
The ads are situated at the very bottom of each page. Actually you only can see the ads separators like | | | | while digitalpoint is unable to validate e-articles...
Actually if you are not seeing ads, then the script is not working on your site. It will not validate until you can see the ads on your site. Are you sure your site can parse PHP?
Yes, my website is built in PHP It's impossible for a normal webmaster to run such a website using pure html LOL
Okay, then something is up with your setup - the validator will not work until you can get ads showing. Is your .txt file filling up with ads at all?
I did revalidation from my co-op account and then got a look in the log file. Is that what I can see: 216.9.35.51 - - [08/Nov/2006:22:03:02 -0600] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 83463 "-" "-" 216.9.35.51 - - [08/Nov/2006:22:03:12 -0600] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 83463 "-" "-"
For instance, a MSNBOT crawler line looks like this: 65.55.213.14 - - [08/Nov/2006:22:10:19 -0600] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 200 40648 "-" "msnbot-media/1.0 (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)"
And sometimes I receive this error in the place where ads should appear: Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /path/to/e-articles/ad_network_***.php on line 21
I removed the @ and no errors. It does not work anyway... I cannot understand why... I think I'm going to give up...
I'm sorry but as long as I can see, there is no solution for the code to work on e-articles. I'm dissapointed beause of this problem although I like the co-op ad network that could generate really good traffic.
Ok, I've just seen the error when @ is off: Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ads.digitalpoint.com:80 in /path/to/earticles/ad_network_***.php on line 7
Nothing is being blocked on this end (just checked from the server that runs ads.digitalpoint.com and it can communicate fine with your server). You may need to check with your system administrator to find out what the deal is.
