How to create a "download section"

    Hy guys, i need some help creating a download section, more exaclty:
    So, when someone click on download button, he goes to a area where he ca chose the download servers :)

    I have the download button, all I want is to create a page that appears on my website after the download button is pressed but i want the link to remain the same

    This is the link:
    <a target="_blank" href="http://doesnotmaterr/index.php?url={$video.direct}&hq=1">
    {video direct}= The link of the video that will be converted and downloaded.

    video url site --> convert --> save on server ? / bypass download to client ?

    You mention download section, is it a counting time before download ? or what ?

    Something like that.
    like you have on softpedia.com: you click download button than it goes to another page and it says: you download will begin shortly, if it does not, click here.
